Pramono Reveals The Reason Why KJP Can't Be Disbursed Every Month

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung explained the reason why the DKI Provincial Government has not been able to disburse the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus every month.

Meanwhile, this one month KJP disbursement was discussed by Pramono in early 2025, before officially serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta.

After knowing more clearly the mechanism, Pramono realized that the distribution every month has not been effective if he sees the synchronization of KJP recipient data that continues to change.

"So the problem is, this data collection is always dynamic. Like yesterday there were 88 thousand who graduated, then there were 87 thousand new ones. Well, these changes were then improved," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, September 12.

In data collection on the distribution of KJP Plus, the DKI Provincial Government periodically updates recipient data. Students who no longer meet the requirements for receiving the educational assistance will be crossed out.

Therefore, the DKI Provincial Government is now disbursing the KJP every six months. Even so, Pramono ensured that the disbursement did not exceed the targeted time limit.

"What is clear is that I still ask the ranks of education not to be late. (The disbursement of KJP phase 2 2025) is not too late, according to the time we have determined," explained Pramono.

This month, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government began distributing the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus phase 2 of 2025 for distribution from July to December. The budget disbursed reached Rp1.61 trillion.

This KJP plus 2nd stage is distributed to 707,513 students. This number consists of 622,157 continuations from recipients of the first phase, as well as 85,356 new recipients.
