BATAM - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono to accelerate in building the Red and White fishing village (KNMP) at various points, according to President Prabowo Subianto's direction.
Gibran said that in the cabinet meeting and the last limited meeting with President Prabowo at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, Trenggono was mandated to immediately realize the KNMP which is included in one of the Presidential priority programs.
"According to the President's message and orders at the cabinet meeting and the final meeting, the Minister still has homework to build fishing villages at various points," said Vice President Gibran, quoted by ANTARA, in Batam, Wednesday, September 10.
Gibran asked the Chairman of Commission IV DPR RI Siti Hediati Hariyadi or Titik Suharto and the Head of the Special Development and Investigation Control Agency (Bappisus) Aris Marsudiyanto, who were also present on the occasion to oversee the President's program.
