The gang of robbers was caught on CCTV cameras while in action at a house on Jalan Padat Karya 2, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

In the CCTV footage, the perpetrators, totaling 4 people, came using motorbikes together. The perpetrator also had time to monitor the situation of the house.

After being safe enough, they then launched their actions with each of the different roles. Two perpetrators entered the victim's house, while the other two sat on a motorbike and monitored the vicinity of the house.

Meanwhile, two perpetrators who managed to break into the victim's house tried to damage the CCTV camera installed in front of the victim's house.

Then the perpetrator entered by destroying the door and rumbering the victim's room and cupboard to look for valuables.

What a surprise the perpetrator was when their action was caught by a grandmother who was previously in a different room.

The perpetrators then pointed firearms and sharp weapons at the grandmother, threatening to kill her if she resisted and screamed.

After successfully seizing valuables such as cellphones, gold from the victim's personal safe in the house, the perpetrator was again surprised by the arrival of another owner of the house who had just returned home.

Moreover, the owner of the house who had just returned home after returning to the place of travel then screamed to attract the attention of the residents. The two perpetrators who were outside, then fled after being shouted at by the victim.

Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators who were the executors of the robbery tried to get out of the victim's house while carrying a number of looted items.

The two perpetrators panicked and tried to escape. However, the residents managed to chase these two perpetrators. One of the perpetrators was arrested by residents, while one other person escaped the pursuit.

The owner of the house, Ivo, said the robbery was discovered when he was on his way to travel, then got a message from the CCTV camera app.

"There is a message from the CCTV camera application that there is suspicious action," he told reporters, Monday, September 8, 2025.

Seeing something suspicious, the owner of the house finally returned to his house. It turned out to be true, he found two unknown perpetrators in front of his house.

As a result of the robbery, the victim suffered a cellphone loss and a number of gold jewelry. This incident was reported by the victim to the Duren Sawit Police. The perpetrators are still being searched by the police.
