Pramono Proud, Jakarta's Movement To Keep Jakarta In The Community

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said he was proud of the people of Jakarta who also echoed the "Keep Jakarta" movement in responding to the situation in Jakarta, which had heated up in the past week.

This movement was originally campaigned by the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government and regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) after a number of public facilities were damaged and burned by an unknown crowd during the demonstration.

"What surprised me is that the community is now even high in optimism. They always give me a moral message personally, 'The governor is strong'. Even though I must be strong," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, September 3.

From the hectic Jakarta Guard movement, Pramono became convinced that the current condition of the capital city was safe. People start to carry out their daily activities.

"By keeping Jakarta, which is currently resonating everywhere and especially in the community, the participation of RT, RW, public stores at the lowest level, makes me believe that Jakarta is back to normal," said Pramono.

In addition, Pramono to return to require the DKI Jakarta state civil apparatus (ASN) to work in the office, after the last two days being allowed to work from home or work from home (WFH).

"For the work from home that was held yesterday, because the conditions have become normal, of course I have given a message to the head of the relevant service for his instructions to be revoked," he explained.

Pramono assessed that the revocation of the WFH policy was carried out because the current condition of Jakarta was back to normal. Previously, the situation in the capital city had heated up due to a series of demonstrations in the past week.

"I see that the condition of the community is back to normal, all transportation has been running normally," said Pramono.

In addition, all ASN within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government are also required to use public transportation to go to their office every Wednesday.

"This means that public transportation in Jakarta, both Transjakarta, MRT, LRT, Microtrans, Jaklingko and so on have been running normally," he said.
