Another protester, Ferdy, revealed that the protest was disbanded after his group briefly stopped demonstrating at a five-way intersection.

From there, the police fired tear gas and water cannons. However, we had no intention of causing a disturbance in this demonstration, and our demand was for the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) and the governor to meet with the demonstrators," he said.
