Prabowo Invites Ormas And Political Parties Leaders To The Palace, Discusses Recovery Of Post-Mass Action

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto again invited the leadership of religious community organizations (ormas) and a number of political party leaders to the Indonesian Presidential Palace, today. The agenda is dialogue on national issues, especially related to mass action last week.

Since 14.00 WIB, the figures began arriving at the Palace. Present were representatives of Buddhist figure Bhante Kamsai Sumano Mahathera, representatives of the Nusantara Evangelical Bethel Church Pastor Johnny Lokollo, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the NU Muslimat Central Leadership Khofifah Indar Parawansa, General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board Yahya Cholil Staquf, Secretary General of PBNU Saifullah Yusuf, and General Chairperson of the Youth Movement Ansor Addin Jauarudin.

In addition, the President of Syarikat Islam Hamdan Zoelva, President of the Prosperous Justice Party Al Muzzammil Yusuf, Chairman of the National Awakening Party Muhaimin Iskandar, Secretary General of the Indonesian Solidarity Party Raja Juli Antoni, General Chairperson of the Gelora Party Anis Matta, General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar, and a number of other figures.

Some of the invitees claimed to have been contacted since last Sunday night, but some had just received a notification from Monday morning to noon.

The meeting is scheduled to take place in the afternoon, adjusting the agenda of President Prabowo, who at 15.30 WIB first visited victims of the mass action at the Police Hospital, East Jakarta.

PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf, or Gus Yahya, explained that this meeting continued the agenda two days earlier when 16 Islamic organizations met the President in Hambalang.

"Today, those invited are not only Islamic organizations, but all mass organizations, both Muslims and non-Muslims. This meeting is to perfect the delivery of people's aspirations and how to coordinate hand in hand to overcome the situation, restore the situation," he said at the Presidential Palace, quoted from Antara.

Meanwhile, PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar admitted that he did not know in detail the agenda of the meeting.

"Today we are invited not to know anyone. But there is nothing else to continue to make efforts so that Pak Prabowo and the whole government are successful. If there are disturbances, they should be faced quickly and handled properly. For PKB there is no other way, Pak Prabowo must successfully lead Indonesia because his vision is very basic, both about economic, political, and constitutional solutions," said Muhaimin.
