TNI AD Denies Prohibition Of Soldiers Doing Activities Outside The Home

Head of the Information Service of the Indonesian Army (Kadispenad) Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana denied that there was a circular letter on behalf of the Army Chief of Staff asking soldiers and their families not to do activities outside the home because the situation in Jakarta was heating up.

"The Indonesian Army did not issue the letter, in terms of the official provisions all aspects of the document were not in accordance with the general administration in force in the TNI/TNI AD," Wahyu said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 29.

According to Wahyu, at times like this, many parties take advantage of the momentum of the riots of demonstrations to spread hoax information that misleads the public.

Therefore, Wahyu asked the entire community not to be easily consumed by information roaming social media.

"People should not easily believe the spread of documents carrying the name of the TNI/TNI AD institution and in order to remain calm, not easily provoked by anything," Wahyu explained.

Previously, a message entitled "TELEGRAM SERVICE" was circulated containing the order of Assistant Intel KSAD to all soldiers and their families in the face of the current situation.
