President Jokowi Opens Car Windshield, Distributes Food To Residents In Cideng

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) distributed food packages to residents in the Cideng area, Central Jakarta.

As reported by Antara, based on video footage, the president's car with a tight guard, running slowly in the residential area. It appears that President Jokowi opened his windshield to greet the surrounding residents, but the president remained on guard. Members of the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres) helped the president to deliver the package to the public.

Residents spontaneously approached the president's service car to receive a package of food directly from President Jokowi. From the video, President Jokowi, Paspampres members, and all citizens got food packages using masks. Paspampres members often remind residents to stay on guard when they want to receive food aid packages. "Very happy, Alhamdulillah", said one of the residents in the video.

Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono when confirmed the video show that circulated. Heru said President Jokowi did out of the Presidential Palace on Tuesday afternoon.

"It is true to distribute food from the president to the community", said Heru.

Heru mentioned that there is no specific purpose for the president's food distribution activities. According to him, the president does want to distribute food to the citizens.

"There is no purpose only for food", said Heru.
