JAKARTA - Dozens of people were injured in Israeli military attacks in the occupied city of Nablus in the West Bank, Palestine.
Several people were reported to have been hit by live ammunition, in an attack that began Wednesday, August 27 morning, medical sources told Al Jazeera.
The Palestinian Red Crescent told Al Jazeera, their team treated 36 people, including some who suffered from tear gas poisoning during clashes in Nablus.
The attack began at around 03.00 a.m. local time, residents said. Israeli soldiers stormed several settlements in the old city, which has a population of about 30,000 people.
The Israeli military deployed snipers and military vehicles, reports the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
