A 4-year-old Boy Was Molested By A 40-year-old Man In Menteng, Central Jakarta, The Perpetrator Was Beaten By Residents

JAKARTA - 4-year-old toddler with the initials NA became a victim of sexual harassment allegedly committed by her neighbor in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta. The head of RW 01 Menteng Village, Isnaini, said this case was revealed when the victim complained of pain in her vital parts.

"When he was bathed, this child admitted that he was in pain in his vital parts. The next day the grandfather invited the victim to show the perpetrator, then Deny (the name of the perpetrator) was appointed," Isnaini told reporters Friday, August 22, 2025.

Residents who knew about the incident immediately ganged up on the perpetrators. Luckily, the action could be suppressed by some other residents. The perpetrator was immediately taken to the RW Post. Not long after, the victim's family reported to the Central Jakarta Metro Police.

The perpetrator is unemployed and a neighbor of the victim. The family has conducted a post-mortem on the victim and the results are positive and there are injuries suffered.

No witness has yet seen the obscenity, but Isnaini explained that he will gather all the heads of the RT and the police regarding the incident.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Roby Heri Saputra, confirmed that one resident was detained at the Menteng Metro Police.

"The case has been transferred to the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim." he said.
