2 Police Schemes To Prevent Crowds At Takbiran Night

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Irjen Fadil Imran confirmed that he has prepared two schemes to anticipate the occurrence of crowds at night takbir. The goal is to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

"In anticipation of the crowd on the night of takbiran then there are 2 ways of acting that we will do," Irjen Fadil Imran told reporters, Monday, May 10.

"The first one from 18.00 to 22.00 WIB will carry out filterization, considering that on the same night until 21.00 WIB there is still activity in the mall, so that people who are going to the mall can still carry out activities," said Fadil.

The second scheme that will be carried out by prohibiting people from being on the roads above 22.00 WIB. People are asked to return to their homes.

"Then after 22.00 WIB all who do not have the interest to be on the street so as to cause a crowd we will ask to return to their respective homes," said Fadil.

"We will implement the concept of crowd free night so that no one can crowd more than 5 people without being able to explain what their importance is for," he added.

The implementation of this scheme is also related to the letter of exhortation issued by the Governor of DKI Jakarta. People are asked for takbir night activities to be carried out virtually.

Takbir is carried out virtually from each house and if in the mosque or musala maximum 10 percent, this is our step to anticipate the presence of takbir around," he said.
