JAKARTA - The Government of Jember Regency, East Java finally allowed the implementation of Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri prayers in mosques or squares. This is based on the Circular Letter (SE) of the Governor of East Java on the Implementation of Eid al-Fitr Prayer in 1442 Hijri/2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The implementation of Id prayer in Jember refers to the Se Governor of East Java based on micro-areas, so that technically later the worshippers and takmir mosques still have to implement and implement health protocols," he said.

He said the worshipper who performs prayers in the mosque or field should be measured his body temperature with a thermo gun, then the number of worshipers should also be limited, keep the distance between and arranged shafnya.

According to him, civil servants in jember district government will participate in disseminating information about the rules and application of health protocols in the implementation of Salat Id.

Previously, the Regent of Jember and MUI Jember urged the public to pray Id at home only in accordance with the Se Menag on Saturday (8/5) because Jember Regency is in the orange zone or the risk of spreading COVID-19, but the policy was changed by referring to the Se Governor of East Java who allows the orange zone area to perform Id prayers with a limited number of worshippers.
