Papua Governor Lukas Kantongi Permits President To Seek Treatment In Singapore

JAKARTA - Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe has been heading to Singapore since Sunday, May 9. Lukas went to Singapore to treat the pain he was suffering from.

"Of course, we hope that the Governor of Papua will soon recover and be given complete health in order to return to the country to lead development in papua province in good condition and prime," said Governor Muhammad Rifai Darus spokesman in Jayapura, reported by Antara, Monday, May 10.

According to Rifai, Governor Lukas expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo who has given permission through the Minister of Home Affairs for his health interests.

"We hope that the spirit together in building Indonesia is maintained to achieve national goals towards Indonesia Gold 2045," he said.

He explained that in connection with the treatment process carried out by the Governor of Papua abroad, the implementation of the Papua Provincial Government was carried out by Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal.

"This is in accordance with the mandate of Article 66 paragraph one letter C of Law No. 9 of 2015 concerning the Second Amendment to Law No. 23 of 2014 on Local Government, as well as in the implementation of the government remains through coordination with the Governor of Papua," he said again.

He added that the Governor of Papua also asked all parties to refrain together and not be easily provoked by news that could break the unity among the community.
