Director General Of Maritime Affairs: If Setya Novanto Violates Provisions, Conditional Free Rights Will Be Revoked

JAKARTA - Inmates of corruption Setya Novanto (Setnov) received the parole program after the Ministry of Maritime Affairs received a letter from the KPK.

"He is PB, free of condition, after paying, subsidiary. That state losses have been paid. So that a letter from the authority of the KPK has been sent to us, we must process it, so that he is immediately free (conditioned)," said the Director General of Maritime Affairs, Brigadier General Mashudi to reporters at Salemba Prison, last Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Even though he has been released on condition, Brigadier General Mashudi ensures that if Setnov violates the provisions, his conditional rights will be revoked.

"Yes, what is certain will be revoked. That's right, okay," he said.

"If we give the principle the rights to all inmates. Those who have the rights we will give," he added.

Previously, the convict in the e-KTP corruption case Setya Novanto was released from Sukamiskin Prison, Bandung, after receiving the Conditional Release (PB) program from the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Ministry of Immigration). The release of Setya Novanto also attracted public attention.
