MALUKU - Officials opened barricades after the clash between residents in Hunuth Country, Teluk Ambon District, Ambon City on Tuesday, August 19.

Kapolresta Pulau Ambon dan PP Lease Kombes Pol. Yoga Putra Prima Setyo mengatakan bentrokan berhasil diredam setelah aparat gabungan TNI-Polri dikerahkan.

"As many as 350 personnel were deployed to carry out security," he said in Ambon, Tuesday, August 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

Yoga said his party would investigate the clashes that began with the death of a student.

He said that if there were parties proven to have committed a criminal act, strict action would be taken.

In these clashes, Yoga also appreciated the quick steps of all parties by deploying a fleet that could anticipate loss of property to casualties.

One of them, he said, was the fire service that deployed its fleet to the vicinity of the incident.

For the people of Ambon, Yoga appealed not to be vigilant by solving problems with a cool head.
