Kemenpora Focus On Improving Youth Empowerment Including Synergy To Create Job Opportunities

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) continues to focus on empowering Indonesian youth.

Youth is one of the mainstays to move the indonesian economy back in accordance with the priority program directed by President Joko Widodo to bring economic recovery and structural reforms in 2022.

Deputy I of Youth Empowerment Kemenpora Faisal Abdullah said the Ministry has five priority programs. Of these five, youth-related programs are in the second and third priority programs.

"Kemenpora has five priority programs. Priority programs related to youth are found in the second and third priority programs. The second priority program, youth empowerment to be creative, innovative, independent, and competitive and foster the spirit of entrepreneurship," Faisal said in a written statement, Monday, May 10.

According to him, there are four Youth Empowerment Deputy Programs TA 2022. First, Coordination with the relevant K/L for the calculation of youth development index in 5 domains.

"These 5 domains are education, health and wellbeing, employment and employment opportunities, participation and leadership, gender and discrimination," she said.

Second, support for the prevention of youth from the dangers of drugs. Third, the increased percentage of youth aged 16-30 supports the domain of participation and leadership.

Fourth, youth pain rates, activities that intervene in the domain of IPP, especially the domain of health and well-being. Faisal also said the 2022 employment agreement of the Ministry of Finance in accordance with the strategic objectives is the increasing active role of youth in development.

The realization of institutional capacity and strategic coordination among stakeholders in organizing quality and integrated youth services.

Furthermore, he said, the increasing fitness of the community and the improvement of sports achievement at the regional and international level and the increasing management of good and clean institutional governance.

In addition, Faisal also explained the target of the program of achieving youth who have the ideology of pancasila, character, culture, and nationality. "There are three activities to achieve the target of youth who have the ideology of pancasila, character, culture, and nationality. First, the implementation of NSPK. Second, coordination / synchronization and third, bimtek / supervision / facilitation," he continued.

At the end of his presentation, Faisal, said to reduce youth unemployment, the Ministry of Finance synergizes with K/L (Dikbud, Naker, Industry, Foreign Affairs, STATE-Owned Enterprises, Finance, Kop & UKM, Local Government) to build networks with industry to get new job opportunities.
