Pramono reminded him to maintain the spirit of unity in the commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo reminded to maintain the spirit of unity, mutual cooperation and social solidarity at the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

Pramono said this was in line with the theme of this year's RI Anniversary commemoration, namely 'United Sovereign, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia'.

"During the 80 years of this nation's journey, Jakarta has always been the front element of Indonesia's progress. Hopefully, we can interpret the celebration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day by strengthening our commitment to continue to innovate and adapt in order to face various challenges for the progress of the City of Jakarta," said Pramono, who served as inspector of ceremonies at Jakarta City Hall, Sunday.

With the fighting spirit inspired by the heroes of independence, Pramono said the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is trying to strengthen Jakarta's competitiveness in the global arena.

Not only that, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has succeeded in achieving various positive achievements as shown through the High Human Development Index, stable economic growth, controlled inflation, as well as increased investment and public services.

Each of Jakarta's development achievements, he said, is the result of a long process that involves various elements of society.

"Along with the achievements that have been achieved, Jakarta continues to be committed to presenting policies that are real beneficial to the community by prioritizing inclusiveness and sustainability," said Pramono.

At the moment of the Indonesian 80th Anniversary, Pramono said, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will hold a People's Party for Jakarta residents and their surroundings.

Pramono conveyed that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also fully supports and carries out the direction of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to provide entertainment for the community to improve the economy through MSME products.

"For this reason, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government together with the Central Government held an event in Kota Tua for two days, on August 16-17, 2025," he said.

In the implementation of the People's Party, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government cooperates with the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of MSMEs, and Danantara.

Not only centered in Kota Tua, there are a series of other events that people can enjoy at the People's Party, ranging from Carnival Kemerdekaan on the Monas to Semanggi route; People's Festival at Monas with video mapping and dancing fountains; People's Festival along Sudirman-Semanggi from morning to night which will serve free meals, various culinary, night markets, entertainment stages; and closed fireworks at Monas.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also provides full support in various aspects during the People's Party held, starting from security through the deployment of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP officers in collaboration with the Police and TNI.

In addition, the provision of special public transportation rates for Rp80, providing health workers by alerting 10 ambulance units, spread across 10 event locations, ensuring cleanliness is maintained by deploying 100 cleaners and 80 portable toilets from the Environment Agency, to the Transportation Service which supports traffic engineering and the provision of parking bags.
