JAKARTA - Minister of Culture (Menbud) Fadli Zon revealed the celebration of the Tipak Tilas Proclamation and Temporary Exhibition of the Henk Ntung Character which was held to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Proclamation Script Formulation Museum, Jakarta, is a historical education for the younger generation.

"This is part of our education that we always remind us of the struggles of the founders of our nation, the proclaimers and the founders of our nation," said the Minister ofbud at the opening of the event, Saturday.

According to Fadli, the commemoration of independence is not enough ceremonially. The younger generation must be invited to understand the meaning of these events through interactive and contextual activities.

"This is how we maintain collective memory, so that the value of the struggle does not disappear," he said.

The Tipak Tilas Proclamation activity is a major flagship program as well as the annual tradition of the Proclamation Script Formulation Museum which is held annually on August 16.

Meanwhile, the temporary exhibition of Henk NTung, Art and Diplomacy at the Historic House held in the Hall of the Proclamation Script Formation Museum featured a collection and also a narrative related to Henk Ntung's character which was quite instrumental in the arts and diplomacy in the era of Indonesian independence.

"This event is held by our young generation, students from various schools in Jakarta. I am very happy, that what has been initiated has been a long time, making the Tilas Proclamation trip, to this day it is still continuing," said Minister Fadli.

The "Tilas Proclamation" activity began with various activities involving the participation of the general public, one of which was the Play Community.

The event then continued with the appearance of the Elderly Angklung Posyandu, Rampak Kendang by the Ayodya Pala Studio and the opening remarks of the Proclamation Month delivered by Mr. Eddy Sjafuan from the National Daily Council 45.
