The National Police Chief Officially Inaugurates Komjen Dedi Prasetyo As Deputy Chief Of Police

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially inaugurated Komjen Dedi Prasetyo as Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Wakapolri).

The inauguration has been stated in the National Police Chief's Telegram Letter Number: ST/1764/VIII/KEP./2025 dated August 5, 2025, which was signed by the Assistant Chief of Police for Human Resources, Inspector General Anwar.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Shandi Nugroho, emphasized that in addition to undergoing the inauguration, Komjen Dedi conveyed his full readiness to support the National Police Chief in carrying out the duties of the police institution.

"This morning the inauguration of Mr. Deputy Chief of Police, Mr. Komjen Dedi Prasetyo, who was previously Irwasum Polri. And today, Irwasum Polri's position is also being handed over to the National Police Chief," said Shandi, Saturday, August 16.

By having served as Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Dedi is committed to fully supporting the policies of the National Police Chief, especially in following up on the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Asta Cita program so that it can be realized immediately for the community.

"He expressed readiness to all out to support the National Police Chief in carrying out his duties, especially following up on the President's direction in the Asta Cita program so that we can immediately realize it in the community as much as possible," said Shandi.

Meanwhile, the inauguration procession took place at the Main Meeting Room of the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Saturday, August 16.

With this inauguration, Komjen Dedi also officially handed over the position of General Supervision Inspector (Irwasum) of the National Police to the National Police Chief.
