Ahead of the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Minister of Education Fadli Zon, made a visit to a historic house that was once inhabited by former Vice President Muhammad Hatta, or what Bung Hatta is familiarly called, in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta. This visit was warmly welcomed by Bung Hatta's three daughters, namely Mrs. Meutia Hatta, Mrs. Gemala Hatta, and Mrs. Halida Hatta, and their families who were also present on the occasion.

The Bung Hatta family, represented by Mrs. Meutia Hatta, welcomed the presence of the Minister of Culture as well as appreciated the invitation delivered directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Minister of Culture, which according to her was a rare momentum. On this occasion, the Bung Hatta family also gave mementos in the form of a collection of wise words from Bung Hatta which was published in the context of "Haul HUT 123 Bung Hatta," which fell on August 12, 2025.

On this occasion, the Minister of Education and Culture also handed over souvenirs in the form of Bung Hatta's facial painting, as printed in the Pranko for the Founders of the Nation, which was recently launched at the Proclamation Script Formation Museum, Jakarta (12/08).

The conversation between the Menbud and Bung Hatta's extended family took place warmly by sharing pieces of history wrapped in stories and memories, both in the memories of Bung Hatta's three daughters during his lifetime, as well as historical searches that have often been carried out by the Minister of Culture until now. On this occasion, the Minister of Culture also handed over his latest work book "China's Keramik Findings of the Musi River 7-19 AD century," which was recently published.

In addition, the discussion also discussed the possibility of granting some of Bung Hatta's memorbilia during his lifetime by the family to then be juxtaposed with various other historical objects in historical museums located within the Ministry of Culture. The Minister of Culture expressed his appreciation by stating that later these objects would later become a source of inspiration for the next generation of the nation.

The Minister of Culture then said that this year was a special moment for the Indonesian people, 80 years of Indonesia Merdeka. Where Bung Hatta, together with Bung Karno, was Dwi Tunggal Proclaimer who proclaimed independence on behalf of all Indonesian people.
