Tom Lembong: Don't Bully Auditor BPKP Chusnul Khotimah On Social Media

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Trade (Mendag) Thomas Trikasih Lembong alias Tom Lembong asked the public not to bully or bully an auditor of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) on social media.

The statement was made after an audience with the Ombudsman regarding the complaint he made some time ago.

According to him, the auditor named Chusnul Khotimah was only carrying out his duties as a BPKP employee.

"Please audit young Mrs. Chusnul Khotimah, don't bully her on social media. She's just carrying out her duties," Tom Lembong told reporters, Tuesday, August 12.

Tom Lembong also expressed great respect for the young auditor. Because, when testifying in the trial of the alleged sugar corruption case, Chusnul Khotimah was said to be very smart.

Moreover, in his complaint to the Ombudsman, it does not refer to individuals. But one unit or the entire auditor team

"So it does not report individuals, but indeed the audit team consisting of several PPKP officials and officers who are officially assigned by the competent authority is at BPKP," he said.

Tom Lembong stated that he did not deserve any attacks on individuals. This is because the purpose of the complaint is not to attack but to repair it.

"So there is no attack and I also ask everyone to respect, yes, that it is not appropriate for an attack on this individual, we want to dismantle it, open up what really happened, so that there are corrective steps that can be taken, for the common good," said Tom Lembong.

It is known, in the 2015-2016 sugar import corruption case, the public prosecutor accused Tom Lembong of causing state financial losses of Rp. 578,105,411,622.47 or Rp. 578.1 billion. The figure or nominal is based on the BPKP audit.
