In the recent Meeting of Shareholders' Decisions (KPPS), Kreshna Putra, former Chairman of the Prabowo-Gibran Regional Campaign Team (TKD), South Jakarta, was officially appointed as one of the commissioners.

However, it was not only Kreshna who was in the spotlight. The decision also raised two other names that were no less interesting, namely Sahrin Hamid and Syaefuloh Hidayat, as commissioners.

The appointment of Sahrin Hamid, who was previously known as a former spokesman for Anies Baswedan, attracted public attention. In response to this, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo, was reported by Antanews as saying about his reasons for placing a number of political figures in strategic positions in the DKI Jakarta BUMD.

"My first approach in appointing commissioners is to get to know the person concerned. The second, the most important thing, is credibility," Pramono explained when met at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday.

Sahrin Hamid's name resurfaced to the surface during the 2024 Presidential Election. In a heated political contestation, Sahrin became one of the main spokesmans for the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair.

However, even though the Anies-Cak Imin pair had to admit the superiority of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Sahrin's role as Anies' spokesman did not escape the public's attention.

However, Sahrin Hamid's work goes far beyond the role of spokesman. This man who was born in North Maluku has a long track record in the world of politics.

Hamid's formal education started from Diploma Satu (D1) in Bumi Hijrah, Tidore, before continuing his legal studies at the Islamic University of Bandung (Unisba) and the University of Jakarta (Unija).

Then Hamid deepened his knowledge by taking a master's program of legal science at Unisba in 2009.

Before being known as Anies' spokesman, Sahrin had already been poor in the National Mandate Party (PAN). He once led the Young PAN Agency as General Chair (2003-2006), then served as Deputy Secretary General (2005-2010), until he became Chairman of the DPP PAN (2010-2011).

Hamid's experience in PAN took him to the parliamentary seat as a member of the DPR from the PAN faction for the 2004-2009 period.

In addition, Sahrin has also tried his luck in the regional arena. He had run as a candidate for Deputy Governor of North Maluku in the 2013 Pilkada. He also got experience in government when he served as special staff for the Governor of North Maluku in 2018.
