Tragic! Wife Found Dead After An Argument With Husband In Mataram, This Is The Result Of The Autopsy

Central Lombok Resort Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), revealed the autopsy results on the death of MR (28), a young mother suspected of being a victim of domestic violence (KDRT) by her husband, FA (36). The autopsy results show that the victim died from lack of oxygen.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Lombok Police, Iptu Lukluk Il Maqnun, said that a medical examination revealed abrasions caused by pressure on the victim's left neck and left cheek. In addition, the victim's lungs appear to be enlarged, which indicates hypoxia or lack of oxygen.

"The neck shifts to the right. There is also a blood clot in the lower head hole, and the uterus enlarges and liquid is found," said Lukluk in Praya, Central Lombok, Antara, Tuesday, August 5.

Based on the results of the investigation and evidence bagged by investigators, the police have named the FA, the victim's husband, as a suspect. He is now officially detained in the Central Lombok Police detention cell from Monday, August 5, 2025, until August 24, 2025.

This case, said Lukluk, is handled in a professional and transparent manner according to applicable legal procedures.

"We hope that this incident will be an important lesson for all parties to avoid acts of domestic violence. Communication must be the main way in solving problems," he said.

Previously, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, the Central Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested the FA after being suspected of committing domestic violence which led to the death of his wife.

The incident began when the victim returned from her workplace at Lombok International Airport. At that time, the FA reprimanded the victim regarding the alleged affair. The reprimand sparked an argument.

"The victim was angry because the perpetrator continued to bring up the allegation. When the victim was about to leave, the perpetrator hugged and tied the victim's neck on the bed," said Lukluk.

Even though the victim tried to rebel, the perpetrator did not let go of his strangulation until the victim was weak and unconscious.

The perpetrator initially thought the victim was just fainting. He then enveloped his wife's body while waiting for the victim to wake up. However, after a while the victim was unconscious, FA called his younger brother, who then contacted one of their older siblings who worked as a doctor.

Setelah diperiksa, korban dinyatakan telah meninggal dunia. Menyadari perbuatannya, FA kemudian menyerahkan diri ke Polres Lombok Tengah.

After being examined, the victim was declared dead. Realizing his actions, the FA then surrendered to the Central Lombok Police.
