Confiscated 5 Riza Chalid Cars, The AGO Disbursed The Samaran Ownership Mode

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) said that five cars belonging to Riza Chalid were confiscated without a police number plate (nopol). It is suspected that this method was deliberately done to obscure ownership data.

The confiscation of the car was carried out because it was suspected of being the result or related to the criminal act of corruption in the management of crude oil and refinery products at PT Pertamina Persero Sub Holding-KKKS for the period 2018-2023.

"We investigators found that the condition was like this. There was no number plate deliberately to get rid of it," said Head of the AGO, Anang Supriatna, to reporters, Tuesday, August 5.

However, this mode could not deceive investigators. This is because investigators found the ownership documents so that they were immediately confiscated.

"But investigators have got all the keys and can, it fits already brought," he said.

The five cars include Mercy S500 Maybach, Mercy S450, Mercy C63 AMG, Mini Cooper Countryman John Cooper Works, and Toyota Alphard.

The confiscation of the vehicle was carried out from parties affiliated with Riza Chalid. They were originally called but did not fulfill it.

Therefore, investigators decided to visit the location of the affiliated party for confiscation.

"From this search, we obtained evidence that is suspected by investigators to have something to do with ownership in the name of the suspect MRC," said Anang.

Meanwhile, since being named a suspect, investigators are known to have scheduled three examinations, precisely on July 24 and 28, as well as August 4, 2025. However, Riza Chalid never attended it.

Circulating information, Riza Chalid is said to be in Malaysia. In fact, he has married a relative of the Sultanate of the neighboring country.

Then Dwi Sudarsono (DS) as Vice President and Product of the Head Office of PT Pertamina Persero 2018-2020; Martin Haendra Nata (MH) as the Development Manager Business of PT Travigura in 2019-2021; and Indra Putra Harsono (IP) as the Development Business Manager of Mahameru Kencana Abadi.

They were named as suspects because they were suspected of making direct appointments to the Merak fuel terminal with a high rental price that did not benefit Pertamina. In addition, formulate for Pertalite products are illegal.
