JAKARTA - Ukraine's general staff confirmed launching a drone strike against a fuel depot at Sochi Airport in southern Russia on Sunday.
Russian local authorities blamed Ukraine on Sunday and said two tanks of oil were burned, but there had been no immediate comment from Kyiv.
The general staff said on Telegram on Monday, August 4, the airfield houses military jets.

The one that was also affected, the USF said, was the Annanefteproduct oil storage facility in the Voronezh region which borders northeastern Ukraine.
The statement did not specify how the facilities were attacked, but the USF specializes in drone warfare, including long-range attacks.
