Bali Police: As Long As It Doesn't Break The Rules, The One Piece Flag Doesn't Fall Down The State's Marwah

DENPASAR - Bali Regional Police stated that the circulation and raising of the pirate flag from the manga One Piece" had no effect and did not undermine the muruah of the Indonesian nation.

This was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Ariasandy, in response to reporters' questions regarding the raising of the anime-themed flag "One Piece".

"As long as it does not violate the rules set by our country, it will not be a problem. It will not undermine the dignity, dignity, and muruah of Indonesia," said Sandy, Monday, August 4.

However, in the context of welcoming the 80th Anniversary of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, Ariasandy appealed to the public to focus on flying the Red and White flag.

Because according to him, the attributes of the Red and White flag are a form of pride towards the nation and respect for the heroes who have contributed to fighting for Indonesia's independence. So, it is not wise to fly another flag.

"We continue to appeal to the public, we are both encouraging the installation of the red and white flag as a form of our pride in the nation and homeland. Then as a form of gratitude we reward the heroes who have fought for the Republic of Indonesia," said Kombes Ariasand.

Regarding the circulation and raising of the One Piece flag in Bali, he said, so far nothing has been found, so no one has been confiscated by the Police.

Previously, calls to fly the One Piece flag went viral on social media as a form of disappointment with the government.

The fictitious flag has a black background and skull, as well as two bones that cross behind it.

The white skull with a smiling expression is decorated with a yellow straw hat typical of the main character of One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy.
