JAKARTA - The Ukrainian military is attacking oil facilities in Russia, including large oil refineries and military airfields for drones and electronics plants.
Reported by Reuters on Saturday, August 2, Ukrainian Unmanned System Forces (Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces) said they had attacked an oil refinery in Ryazan, about 180 km (110 miles) southeast of Moscow, which caused a fire at the facility.
The one that was also affected, the USF said, was the Annanefteproduct oil storage facility in the Voronezh region which borders northeastern Ukraine.
The statement did not specify how the facilities were attacked, but the USF specializes in drone warfare, including long-range attacks.
There has been no immediate statement from Russia regarding the reported attacks on its infrastructure locations.
Separately, Ukrainian SBU intelligence agency said its drones had attacked Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk military airfield, which has been used to launch long-range drone waves to various targets in Ukraine.
SBU said it also attacked a factory in Penza that supplies electronic devices to Russian military industrial complexes.
