Frequent Problems, 20 Illegal Parking Officers In Menteng And Tanah Abang Were Netted By Officers

The Central Jakarta Administrative City Government (Pemkot Jakpus) arrested 20 illegal parking attendants (jukir) in joint patrols in Menteng and Tanah Abang sub-districts.

Central Jakarta Administrative Secretary (Sekko) Denny Ramdany in Jakarta, Thursday, July 31, 2025, said that during this patrol there were two areas that were targeted by joint patrols, because they were suspected to be illegal parking attendants.

"Menteng and Tanah Abang sub-districts pay attention to the prosecution of illegal parking attendants, especially many complaints and must be followed up," said Denny.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Kasatpol PP) of Central Jakarta Administrative City, TP Purba, added that this joint patrol managed to catch 20 illegal jukir.

Purba added that this activity will be continued for the next week in eight sub-districts throughout Central Jakarta with a target of illegal jukir.

"This time we managed to catch 20 illegal parking attendants and most of them were in Tanah Abang District," he said.

He added that the number of personnel involved in the joint patrol was 70 personnel from the Transportation Sub-Department, Social Sub-Department, Highways, TNI and Polri.

Previously, the Mayor of Central Jakarta asked officers to take firm action against illegal parking attendants to provide a deterrent effect.

Moreover, he said, Central Jakarta was in the spotlight after several times the illegal parking action that asked for parking money was not reasonable.

"I ask them to be arrested, take firm action, collect data clearly so that they are deterrent and do not repeat the same mistakes," he said.

According to him, the perpetrators of these illegal parking attendants will be entrusted to social institutions, given guidance in the form of training in order to have skills.
