JAKARTA - Some residents of the former Kampung Bayam have signed a residential rental contract for Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) located in the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) area with the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) on Tuesday, July 29.

The head of the Kampung Bayam Madani Farmers Group, Furqon, admitted that his party had just received an invitation from the Mayor of North Jakarta on Monday night. They still need time to look into the contents of the contract.
"We have not finished studying the contents of the draft, we do not dare to sign it. I did not attend the meeting and only sent representatives to submit our objection letters," Furqon told reporters, Wednesday, July 30.

Previously, the Special Staff of the Governor of DKI Jakarta for Social Communication, Chico Hakim said, as many as 67 of the 126 families of Bayam Village residents had approved the KSB residential contract.
"The majority of the residents of Kampung Bayam have signed a contract to be able to inhabit the HPPO at JIS," Chico told reporters.
In the contract of the agreement, KSB occupancy is charged a rental fee of Rp. 1.7 million per month. However, Jakpro waived rental payments for the first 6 months.
