Cause Of Death Of Foreign Ministry Diplomat Is Getting Clear, Kompolnas: Tomorrow, Polda Metro Announces

Commissioner of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas), Choirul Anam said the Polda Metro Jaya would convey the results of the investigation into the death of the Deputy Expert Diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) Arya Daru Pangayunan in the near future.

This is because the cause of Arya Daru Pangayunan's death, which was previously a big question mark, is now getting clearer.

"Tomorrow, Polda Metro Jaya will announce it," Anam told reporters, Monday, July 28.

The cause of death began because a series of forensic processes had been completed, ranging from autopsy, toxicology, and so on.

Anam knew about this because he had attended an analysis and evaluation meeting (anev) with forensic experts and investigators at Polda Metro Jaya.

"Yesterday the incident was clear, the cause of death was not because the autopsy results had not yet been carried out. Now, yesterday the incident was clear and it was getting clearer that the cause of death was clear," he said.

According to him, throughout the expert presentation process, there were no loopholes that could be the basis for doubting the investigation process.

For example, regarding the cellphone, Anam said that the communication tool had not been found. However, the investigation used other ways to obtain conversation data.

In addition, the cause of death also does not refer to the cellphone alone. However, it can be scientifically proven through the autopsy process.

"As long as we follow it, it must only be announced because there is no significant gap," he said.

Nevertheless, Anam was reluctant to specify the results of the anev process, including whether there was a criminal element behind the death of Arya Daru Pangayunan.

"The conclusion is that the Polda Metro Jaya will announce it as an institution that is responsible for this incident in the context of law enforcement," said Anam.

It is known, in an effort to reveal the cause of Arya Daru Pangayunan's death, the police have examined dozens of witnesses. Then, confiscated CCTV footage from 20 locations.

Arya Daru Pangayunan was found dead in the 'Gues House Gondia' in the 105th room, Jalan Gondangdia Kecil, No 22, Cikini Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 8.

When found, the body of Arya Daru Pangayunan was covered in plastic and duct tape in yellow. Currently, the cause of death is unknown.
