JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, officially closed the session of the council at the 25th Plenary Meeting of Session IV which was held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, July 24.
Thus, members of the DPR RI will return to undergo a recess period from Friday, July 25 to Thursday, August 14.
"On behalf of the leadership of the DPR RI, I announce to all Indonesian people, from July 25 to August 14, 2025, the DPR RI is entering a Recess Period of Session IV for Session Year 2024-2025," said Puan in the plenary meeting room, Thursday, July 24.
"Welcome to the recess and greet the people," he concluded.
In her closing speech, Puan alluded to the ratification of Bill 10 of the Regency/City into a law that had been approved in today's plenary meeting.
Puan said the Indonesian House of Representatives had held a preliminary discussion on the RAPBN for the 2026 Fiscal Year, as well as discussing the 2026 RKP.
"The DPR RI has agreed that the fiscal policy for 2026 is directed to encourage inclusive and sustainable economic growth, as a foothold towards achieving the 2025 Golden Indonesia Vision," said Puan in her speech.
Puan also expressed her condolences to the families of the victims of the sinking of KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya in the Bali Strait as well as victims of natural disasters that occurred in several areas in the country.
"Disasters in the Bali Strait should make us introspective and evaluate and improve national transportation governance," said Puan.
