KAI' Lebak Regency Government Collaborates In Regional Management, Supports Access And City Aesthetics

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 Jakarta together with the Lebak Regency Government have agreed to organize and develop areas in areas on railway lines in Lebak Regency to improve public transportation safety there.

"We believe that this collaboration can provide long-term benefits for regional development and ease of access for the community," said Executive Vice President of PT KAI Operational Area (Daop) 1 Jakarta, Yuskal Setiawan in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 23.

This joint agreement is valid for five years from July 22, 2025 to July 21, 2030. This agreement will also be the basis for the implementation of the next technical and implementable cooperation agreement.

Yuskal emphasized that this collaboration is an important step in encouraging regional arrangement and optimizing the area around the railway line in Lebak Regency, Banten Province.

According to him, this collaboration also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the 11th (City and Sustainable Settlements) and the 9th goal (Resilient, Innovative and Sustainable Infrastructure).

Yuskal hopes that through the synergy between KAI and the Lebak Regency Government, the area around the railway line can be more functionally and aesthetically organized, as well as strengthen a public transportation system that is safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly to the community.

Lebak Regent Mochamad Hasbi Asyidiki conveyed that the local government together with related agencies expressed their appreciation and would provide full support for this cooperation.

"With the arrangement of this area, in addition to beautifying the area around the railway line, we also ensure the safety of the community and create a more friendly and comfortable public transportation environment," he said.
