Protect Citizen Data, Bogor City Forms A Tough Cyber Unit

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) officially has a Cyber Incident Team/Computer Security Incident Response Team (TTIS/CSIRT).

This team was confirmed directly by the Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) of the Republic of Indonesia, Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Nugroho Sulistyo Budi, at the BSSN Office, Sawangan, Depok, Tuesday, July 22.

This inauguration was marked by the submission of a TTIS/CSIRT certificate from the Head of BSSN to the Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, as a form of acknowledgment of the seriousness of the Bogor City Government in protecting data and information systems belonging to local governments.

The security of data and information belonging to the Bogor City Government is now well protected. This is supported by capable human resources, reliable devices, and an adequate data recovery system," said Dedie Rachim.

Nevertheless, Dedie Rachim emphasized that there is still homework that needs to be prepared, namely complete and comprehensive data improvement.

Because, according to Dedie Rachim, good data will be a strong basis for decision making and preparing policies that are right on target.

"This team will be at the forefront of facing various cyber threats and maintaining the security of digital systems and data belonging to the Bogor City Government," he said.

Dedie Rachim added that the formation of the Bogor City CSIRT is a tangible manifestation of the Bogor City Government's commitment to creating information technology governance that is safe and reliable.

This is in order to maintain comfort, as well as increase public confidence in government digital services.

"With the full support of BSSN, we hope that the Bogor City CSIRT will be stronger and more alert in facing the challenges of the digital era in the future," concluded Dedie Rachim.
