First Day Of Prohibition Of Homecoming, 10 Passengers Are Refused To Take Buses At Kalideres Terminal

JAKARTA - Head of Kalideres Terminal Revi Zulkarnaen said that 10 passengers were refused to travel on the first day of the Eid homecoming ban this year.

Revi said the reason the terminal prohibits passengers from leaving because they do not have complete requirements for the traveler, such as SIKM (Exit/Entry Permit) and official travel documents.

"There were 10 people we rejected because they did not meet the requirements. Some letters are wrong, some have incomplete requirements, some are written from the RT, it should be from the village head. Was told to come back to complete first", said Revi when contacted, Thursday, May 6.

Then, to this day 10 passengers have departed using two buses. Two passengers leave for Jepara and 8 passengers leave for Denpasar.

Revi said, they met the requirements such as SIKM or a letter from the village head and official travel, brought negative test results, and filled out the e-HAC application.

"There is an urgent need for official travel by private companies, the most for official trips, I saw 5 people earlier. Then some die because their families are dead, their families are sick", said Revi.

Meanwhile, the requirement for buses to be burdensome for passengers is that they must have a special sticker issued by the Director-General of Land Transportation to serve special transportation for urgent purposes.

Then, the driver and the constructor are required to have a letter of assignment from the head of the PO autobus company which is valid for a one-time return or one round trip.

As is well known, people are prohibited from homecoming on Eid this year, starting from May 6 to 17, 2021. However, some parties are allowed to travel, namely for official travel and urgent needs.

Private vehicle users must also have a SIKM or official certificate. If not, the vehicle will be asked to make a U-turn. As of this afternoon, the Traffic Directorate of Jakarta Metro Police has turned back thousands of vehicles about to homecoming for Eid.
