Promises To Double Up, Realization Of RT/RW Funds In Jakarta Is Only 25 Percent

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed that the increase in RT/RW operational funds in Jakarta will officially take effect starting next October. He has signed the governor's decision (kepgub) to regulate this.

"So I have signed the operational funds for the RT/RW. Later I will announce when the time is in effect is hopefully in October," Pramono said when met at Santa Market, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 22.

In the plenary meeting of the DKI DPRD and the DKI Provincial Government on Monday, July 21, it was revealed that the increase in RT/RW operational funds allocated in the 2025 APBD changes was only 25 percent.

This value is different from Pramono and Rano Karno's promises during the 2024 Pilkada campaign, where the RT/RW management will receive a double increase in operational money.

When asked about it, Pramono was economical. "Yes, I will answer the spill later," he said.

Previously, the increase in RT/RW operational funds was highlighted by the Democratic-Perindo faction in a plenary meeting of the general view of the DKI DPRD faction regarding the regional budget changes for the 2025 budget year.

"The Democratic-Perindo Party faction appreciates the plan to increase RT/RW's operational funds by 25 percent for three months in the 2025 Revised RAPBD," said Member of the Democratic-Perindo Faction Dina Manyusin at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, July 21.

The Democrat-Perindo faction assessed that the increase in operating funds, which was only 25 percent, was not comparable to the workload and responsibilities of RT/RW administrators in Jakarta.

This is because they are the spearhead of public services, environmental order guards, and extensions of government hands at the grassroots level.

"The Democratic-Perindo Party faction encourages the increase in RT/RW operational funds to be increased more significantly," said Dina.

So, according to him, adequate budget support will strengthen the performance and spirit of RT/RW service, as well as become a form of real appreciation for their contribution in maintaining stability and order in the community.

It is known, based on the Decree of the Governor (Kepgub) of Jakarta Number 1674 of 2018 concerning the Provision of Money for the Implementation of Tasks and Functions of RT and RW, the amount of operational funds received by the head of RT is Rp. 2 million per month, then the head of RW gets Rp. 2.5 million per month.
