The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Has Signaled That The Special Hajj Quota Corruption Investigation Will Immediately Rise To Investigation

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has signaled that the investigation into the alleged corruption case related to the special hajj quota will soon go up to the investigation stage.

"In the near future, hopefully we can move on to a more certain stage," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, July 20.

He asked the public to support the process being carried out by the KPK.

Meanwhile, he said that the KPK had summoned a number of parties for questioning or information regarding the special hajj quota.

"We have asked for information regarding the hajj issue. Yes, please support (supported, ed.)," he said.

Previously, on June 20, 2025, the KPK confirmed that it had invited and summoned a number of parties to be questioned in the investigation into the alleged corruption case of the special hajj quota.

A number of these parties, such as Ustadz Khalid Basalamah to the Head of the Implementing Agency for the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Fadlul Imansyah.

On a different occasion, KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said that the alleged corruption case related to the special hajj quota did not only occur in 2024, but also in previous years.

For 2024, the Special Committee for Hajj Angkat DPR RI claims to have found a number of irregularities that occurred in the implementation of the pilgrimage in 2024.

The main point highlighted by the special committee is regarding the distribution of quotas 50:50 at the allocation of 20,000 additional quotas given by Saudi Arabia.

At that time, the Ministry of Religion divided an additional 10,000 quota for regular Hajj and 10,000 for special Hajj.
