JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned 10 witnesses regarding the alleged bribery of road construction projects at the PUPR Service and PJN Satker Region 1 North Sumatra today, July 18. Among them, Muhammad Iqbal, who is the Head of the Mandailing Natal District Attorney's Office and Gomgoman Halomoan Simbolon as the Head of the Civil and State Administration Section (Datun) of the Mandailing Natal Kejari.
"The examination was carried out at the Medan City BPKP office," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Friday, July 18.
Meanwhile, the other eight witnesses examined were Alexander Meliala as an entrepreneur; Asnawi, Ibrahim, Samosir, Warina, Anggi, Ramlan, and Edison Sembiring as private.
Budi has not informed their presence at the location of the examination. He only said that the statements of these 10 witnesses were needed to investigate allegations of bribery originating from a hand arrest operation (OTT) last June.
"The KPK has scheduled an examination of witnesses suspected of corruption in a road construction project in North Sumatra Province," he said.
