Fadli Zon Ensures Public Trials For Rewriting History Begins Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Minister of Culture (Menbud) Fadli Zon conveyed the development of the rewriting of Indonesia's history, which is being worked on by his ministry. He revealed that the project will begin conducting public trials tomorrow.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Education and Culture regarding the target of rewriting history which will be launched on the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence on August 17.

"Yes, that's the target, so we hope this is part of the deadline for internality. We'll see to what extent the readiness of the historian team wrote and there is also an editing process. I think it will be soon, maybe starting tomorrow there will be a public test," said Fadli Zon at the DPR building, Thursday, July 17.

Fadli Zon said the location of public tests was carried out in areas located in West, Central and East Indonesia. He ensured that there was no confidentiality in this public test.

"I don't know exactly that, maybe there is a committee. But in some places, representing West Indonesia, Central Indonesia, East Indonesia, we don't keep anything secret, we can debate," he said.

Fadli did not deny that the launch of Indonesia's new history book would have passed from the planned time. As long as, according to him, it is still within the momentum of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day.

"Yes, I'll just retail on August 17, around that, I'm independence day. So there's an independence anniversary. Anyway, we hope this is in the context of 80 years of Indonesia's independence," said Fadli Zon.
