PLN UID Central Kalimantan Holds Khitanan 100 Orphans And Dhuafa

BANJAR BARU - PT PLN (Persero) Main Distribution Unit of South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan (UID Kalselteng) through the Baitul Maal Foundation (YBM) held free sentences for 100 orphans and poor people.

The activity which took place at the Batur Commander-in-Chief Building, Banjarbaru, targeted children from the Banjarbaru and Banjar Regencies.

Senior Manager of PLN UID Central Kalimantan Distribution Roberth Rumsaur in Banjarbaru, Saturday, said that this activity was the result of synergy between PLN, YBM, and local governments to make real social contributions to the community.

"Synergy like this has a wider positive impact. Through YBM, employees can distribute some of their sustenance for useful activities like this," he said.

Carrying the theme 'Healthy People', this program is a tangible manifestation of the presence of PLN which not only ensures reliable electricity supply, but also presents benefits through social actions that directly touch the community.

This activity also commemorates the Islamic New Year 1447 Hijri and is the result of collaboration between YBM PLN and the Banjarbaru City Health Office.

This mass Khitan is funded by zakat, infaq, and alms of PLN employees managed by YBM. A similar program is regularly held as a form of continuous concern for those in need.

He also added that caring and togetherness are the keys in building a better society.

"We hope this activity will be an inspiration for many parties to continue to share and help those in need," he added.

The atmosphere of the activity was full of enthusiasm and emotion. The participants and their families seemed enthusiastic, while the children who took part in the final received professional medical services and gifts as awards for their courage.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN UID Central Kalimantan Iwan Soelistijono expressed his appreciation to YBM PLN for the implementation of this program.

"We believe that the role of PLN is not only limited to providing electricity, but also bringing more benefits through social programs such as YBM and TJSL. This is a tangible manifestation of PLN who is always present for the people." concluded Iwan.
