The police officers from the Karawang Police confiscated 90 certain hard drugs in an effort to overcome drug and psychotropic trafficking, from a grocery store in the Majalaya area, Karawang Regency, West Java.

"Officers arrested two perpetrators in thwarting the circulation of drugs and psychotropics in a grocery store," said Head of Public Relations of the Karawang Police, Ipda Cep Wildan, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 11.

The two perpetrators arrested each had the initials A (21), a resident of Seuleumbah Village, Jeumpa District, Bireun, Aceh and the perpetrator with the initials TA(22), a resident of Cispisa Village, Ciawi Gebang District, Kuningan Regency.

The two perpetrators were arrested on Wednesday (09/07) at around 10:18 WIB at a grocery shop on the irrigation embankment road, Bengle Village, Majalaya District, Karawang.

From the hands of the perpetrators, officers confiscated as many as 90 certain hard drugs, the cash from the sale of Rp327 thousand, and confiscated a cellphone.

Wildan said, from the results of the interim examination, the perpetrator with the initials A, who acted as a certain hard drug dealer, obtained goods from someone with the initials E who is still being chased by the police.

He conveyed that the search for narcotics and psychotropic trafficking in grocery stores indicated the seriousness of the police in eradicating the circulation of narcotics and psychotropic substances in the Karawang area.

The Karawang Police, he said, will continue to be committed to continuing to eradicate the circulation of illegal drugs that endanger the younger generation.

The police are committed not to provide space for the circulation of illegal drugs in the Karawang area.

"This is proof of the seriousness of the Karawang Police in protecting the public from the dangers of misuse of certain hard drugs that can damage the future of the younger generation," he said.
