In Dragon Demanded The Death Penalty For The Murder Of Nia Fried Food Seller In Pariaman

PARIAMAN - Indra Septriaman alias In Dragon, the accused killer of a girl selling fried food, Nia Kurnia Sari (NKS) in 2x11 Kayu Tanam District, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, was sentenced to death during a trial at the Pariaman District Court, Tuesday, July 8.

"We are filing a death penalty against the defendant," said Head of the Public Prosecutor's Team, Bagus Priyonggo, quoted from Antara.

He said the charge was because the prosecutor considered the defendant to have committed a heinous, inhuman act and had previously been sentenced to a crime.

He mentioned the criminal cases that had ensnared the defendant were related to narcotics, immorality, and the last theft. "That's why we are making maximum demands," he said.

Although he hopes that the demand will be granted, his party will leave it entirely to the judge because the judge also has his own considerations.

Meanwhile, the defendant's attorney, Dafriyon, assessed that the prosecutor's demands were too forced because since the beginning of the trial there were no elements of premeditated murder against NKS.

"What is there, according to forensic experts, is only persecution. Because there are bruises on Nia's body," he said.

According to the forensic expert's statement, the death of NKS was not due to rope, but because there was an emphasis on the chest, he said. According to him, the function of the prosecutor is not to punish but to present all the evidence and facts in front of the trial.

"If the evidence and facts at trial don't mean they run away," he added.
