Minister Of Social Affairs: 63 People's Schools Ready To Operate Starting July 14, 2025

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf said 63 points of People's Schools are ready to operate starting July 14, 2025.

"To this day, thank God, there are 63 points that are ready to hold the People's School on July 14," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 8.

A total of 37 other public schools will operate in late July or early August 2025.

"The remaining 37 points will start teaching and learning activities, God willing, at the end of July. There are still those who are still waiting for the completion of infrastructure," he said.

Later, for the second stage, the government targets 100 points of People's Schools.

This is as requested by President Prabowo Subianto who gave the mandate that the number of People's Schools be increased from 100 points to 200 points.

Currently, the Ministry of Health has started implementing the Free Health Check (CKG) program for prospective students of the People's School.

Health checks aim to determine the health condition of prospective students and anticipate disease transmission in dormitories.

The People's School is President Prabowo Subianto's priority program which is devoted to children from extreme poor and poor families.

In its implementation, the Ministry of Social Affairs synergizes with relevant ministries and institutions in one task force to prepare all needs.
