KPK Physically Checks Buildings In Corruptioned Lamongan Regency Government

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has checked the condition of the building in the Lamongan Regency Government, West Java, which was corrupted. This step was taken to ensure the amount of state losses incurred.

"It is being (conducted, red) a physical check," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters when confirmed, Tuesday, July 8.

Asep said the physical inspection of the building collaborated with a number of parties as experts. "(Joint checks with, red) BPKP and ITB to calculate state losses," said the KPK Director of Investigation.

The VOI source said there were four people who had been named as suspects in this case. They are Mokh. Sukiman who is a Commitment Making Officer at the Lamongan Regency Public Housing and Settlement Office; Herman Dwi Haryanto; Ahmad Abdillah; and Muhammad Yanuar Marzuki.

The same source also said that state losses based on the calculation of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) reached Rp42 billion. This amount is reduced from the figure which was originally said to have reached Rp151 billion.

Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo is still closing the meeting regarding the identities of the suspects. He only confirmed that there were already names of parties responsible for the issued investigation warrant (sprindik).

"We will update who the suspects are. However, we make sure that the KPK has determined certain parties," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday, July 8.

In an effort to investigate this case, the anti-corruption commission summoned five witnesses on Monday, July 7. The request for information was made at the Lamongan Regency Government office, East Java.

Those who were questioned were the Head of the Subdivision for Guidance and Advocacy of the Goods and Services Procurement Section (PBJ) of the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of Lamongan Sigit Hari Mardani and the Head of the PBJ Regional Secretariat Management Administration Subdivision, Lamongan Fitriasih.

Then also called the Head of Economics and Development of Glagah District, Lamongan Regency Government, Joko Andriyanto; Head of Construction Development for the Public Housing, Settlement and Cipta Karya Office, Lamongan Regency Government, Arkan Dwi Lestari; and Sub-Section Staff for the Advocacy Advocacy of the Lamongan Regency Government, Rahman Yulianto.
