Indonesia-Saudi Arabia Agree On DKT Governance To MoU For Danantara Investment

JAKARTA - Indonesia and Saudi Arabia agreed on the Governance of the Highest Coordination Council (DKT) to a number of inter-business agreements (B-to-B) when President Prabowo Subianto met with the Crown Prince and Saudi Arabian Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman on Wednesday.

President Prabowo's meeting with Prince MBS who was accompanied by delegations from each country at the As Salam Palace, Jeddah, was the first meeting of the DKT or Saudi-Indonesian Supreme Coordination Council.

"The President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia agreed to strengthen bilateral partnerships and cooperation on various strategic issues, such as trade, investment, energy, defense, employment and also service improvements for Indonesian pilgrims and Umrah," said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement to reporters, Thursday, July 3.

One of DKT's important decisions is the agreement of the DKT Governance which will become a framework for DKT's institutional reference as stated in the Minutes of Meeting signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.

"The management of the DKT will be coordinated by the two Foreign Ministers," said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

DKT is a high-level bilateral mechanism led directly by the two Heads of Government to harmonize strategic interests and strengthen coordination between the two countries.

In addition to bilateral relations, the two leaders also exchanged views on the latest developments in the situation in the Middle East, including Palestinian and Iranian issues, the ministry said.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that state visits to Saudi Arabia have also resulted in an inter-business agreement (B-to-B) with a total value of 27 billion US dollars.

The collaboration between PT Pertamina Patra Niaga with AlShams for fuel services jets. Collaboration between PT Waskita Karya and PLADCO for construction project construction in Saudi Arabia. VELA's collaboration with SISA for the development and assembly plant of Alpha aircraft Cyber Mantra Cooperation and Forytine Arch with ITEAC for the development of digital technology centers in Saudi Arabia.
