President Targets All Red And White Kopdes To Operate Later This Year

Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Budi Arie Setiadi said President Prabowo Subianto targets all Red and White Villages Cooperatives to operate at least by the end of 2025.

"This year, all 80 thousand (Red and White KoPDes) have been built, this year everything (hopefully) will be operational. If this is for the formation to be completed, this phase two (is for) operation," said the Coordinating Minister as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 1.

"We are targeting yesterday at a cabinet meeting, the President has said that by the end of this year everything must operate," he said.

The Ministry of Cooperatives previously stated that as many as 80,400 Red and White Kopdes had been formed, with 92 of the best, which would later be used as a pilot model in the operational stage.

92 of the pilot Red and White Kopdes will be launched on July 19, 2025, coinciding with the launch of the Red and White Corps by President Prabowo Subianto in Klaten, Central Java.

Previously, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono as the Coordinator of the Daily Executive of the Red and White Kopdes Acceleration Task Force explained that the financing scheme for the 92 pilotes of the Red and White Kopdes will come from four main sources, namely Himbara banks, Revolving Fund Management Institutions (LPDB), Regional Development Banks (BPD), and savings and loan cooperatives (KSP).

"The financing scheme has also been decided regarding the Regulation of the Minister of Finance which is the legal basis for SOEs that will finance 92 examples of the Red and White Kopdes," said Ferry.

With more than one pilot in several provinces, Ferry hopes that concrete equity will be created. The 92 pilot models are expected to be a learning reference center for village or sub-district cooperatives in the vicinity.

"We are also preparing training modules, including the business model, by the Ministry of Cooperatives," he said again.
