Lampung Police Exhumation Of Unila Student's Body Who Died After Diksar

BANDARLAMPUNG - Lampung Regional Police (Polda) conducted an exhumation of the body of a student at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Lampung (Unila) Pratama Wijaya Kusuma who died after attending basic education from environmental students.

"In this exhumation process, we ensure that all parts of the body will be examined to determine the exact cause of the death of Pratama Wijaya Kusuma," said Head of Sub-Directorate III of Jatanras Polda Lampung, Kompol Zaldy Kurniawan as reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 30.

Currently, the exhumation process is still ongoing in collaboration with the Forensic Doctor from the Bhayangkara Lampung Hospital.

"Earlier, we carried out the demolition of the tomb of the late Pratama Wijaya Kusuma from 09.00 WIB and this activity may take a little while," he said.

The results of the FEB Unila student exhumation will be conveyed by the Forensic Doctor of Bhayangkara Hospital Lampung.

"For the results of the exhumation, the forensic doctor will explain after the activity is complete," he said.

In this exhumation activity, the Lampung Police also invited a number of parties such as forensic observers from Unila, then the Faculty of Economics and Business as well as student representatives.

"Including the victim's parents, we invite them to witness this exhumation," said Kompol Zaldy.

Regarding this case, the police will summon a number of more witnesses regarding the case that allegedly caused a Unila student to die after attending basic education (diksar) after the exhumation was completed.

"There are already 18 witnesses who have been examined and it is possible that additional witnesses will be taken information after the exhumation activity," he said.

University of Lampung (Unila) student Pratama Wijaya Kusuma is suspected of being a victim of physical violence while attending the Mahapel Diksar in the Mount Betung area, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung, on November 14, 2024. Pratama Wijaya reportedly died on April 28, 2025.
