Kopasgat Simulates Musuh Airport Takeover Operation

BELITUNG - Wing Personnel Command I Kopasgat TNI AU held a simulation of the seizure of an enemy hijacked airport in the Jalak Sakti and Hardha Marutha I 2025 exercises.

The simulation was held at the AWR Buding field, Kelapa Kampit District, East Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands.

From ANTARA's observation at the location, the simulation began with the deployment of combat control personnel that had been carried out from Tuesday (24/6) night. They are tasked with mapping the location and providing a point of coordinate for the deployment of the main troops.

After the coordinates were determined, combat unit personnel carried out a static move from the Indonesian Air Force Hercules plane to a predetermined point. They landed about 100 meters from the building simulated as an airport that was being hijacked.

They landed between the bush. When they landed, they slowly advanced towards the airport, and those equipped with SIG SAUER CQB long-barreled weapons infiltrated the tip of the bushes.

After arriving at the end, a smoke bomb was detonated to trick the enemy who was already waiting at the airport. Instantly, Kopasgat's combat unit troops immediately entered while providing fire resistance to the enemy.

Gunfights were inevitable. Within minutes, the combat unit defeated the enemy and took over the airport again.

The Jalak Sakti Hardha Marutha I 2025 exercise involved all personnel of Wing Command I Kopasgat.

There were 582 personnel involved in this combat simulation. all of these personnel consist of the Matra Unit, Combat Unit, and Bravo Unit.

Kopasgat also sent several tactical vehicles to fight such as ILSV, ATAV P6 and M3CS.

Some of the Indonesian Air Force's flagship fighter aircraft are also involved in this activity such as Hawk100/200 and F-16.

In this exercise, they will conduct several combat simulations starting from sandra-freedom operations, airport takeovers, airstrikes with fighter aircraft to the appearance of snipers.
