When asked to clarify his social media posts last weekend, Trump told reporters on Air Force One: "No, if there is, yes there is, but no, I don't want it. I want to see everything calm as soon as possible."
"The regime's turn brings chaos, and ideally we don't want to see so much mess," Trump continued.

Trump previously pointed out the possibility of a change of leadership in Iran after the US attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend.
"It's not politically true to use the term, 'Regime change,' but if the current Iranian regime is unable to make IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why won't there be a regime change?? ? MIGA !!!" Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday.
Trump's post comes after officials in his government, including US Vice President JD Vance and Defense Minister Pete Hegseth stressed the US was not trying to overthrow the Iranian government.
"This mission is not and will never aim to change the regime," Hegseth told reporters at the Pentagon.
He called the mission a "precision operation" targeting Iran's nuclear program.
Vance in an interview on NBC said "Our view is very clear that we don't want a regime change."
"We don't want to extend or expand this more than what has been built. We want to end their nuclear program, and then we want to talk to Iran about a long-term settlement here," Vance continued, saying the US was not interested in deploying troops on the ground.
