KPK Finds Guns When Searching 2 Houses Related To ASDP Cases

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched two houses related to the alleged corruption in the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) on Monday, June 23 evening.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said there were a number of findings obtained by investigators from the two houses in South Jakarta. Among them are firearms.

"Investigators also confiscated short-barreled and long-caliber 32 firearms," Budi told reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, June 24.

Budi also said investigators also confiscated five vehicles. One of them is a Mercedes-Maybach sedan.

"Investigators also confiscated five luxury vehicles, namely Lexus 2 units; Maybach 1 unit; Alphard 1 unit; and Mitsubishi Xpander 1 unit," he explained.

"Then investigators also installed a sign of confiscation of houses and land parcels located in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta," continued Budi.

Previously reported, the KPK named four suspects for alleged corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).

They are former President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Ira Puspadewi; former Director of Planning and Development, Harry MAC; and former Commercial and Service Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Muhammad Yusuf Hadi; and Adjie as the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara.

In this case, the KPK said the five suspects had harmed state finances amounting to Rp893,160,000,000. A number of frauds occurred in the SKU process and the acquisition, including a meeting between Ira, Yusuf, and Harry Muhammad to discuss the acquisition value.

The final agreed value is Rp1,272 trillion. With details, Rp892 billion for the value of shares includes the calculation of the value of 42 ships belonging to PT JN and Rp380 billion for the value of 11 affiliated ships PT JN and new management that will continue PT JN's debt.

As a result of their actions, the suspects were suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
