State Losses Due To Corruption In Lombok Regional Hospital Not IDR 30 Million, Still Being Audited

JAKARTA - The Head of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office, Tomo Sitepu, confirmed that the state loss of IDR 30 million arose in the handling of four cases of alleged corruption in project work at the North Lombok Regional General Hospital was not final.

"The IDR 30 million loss is only part of the project. The rest is still being audited", said Tomo Sitepu, in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 4.

He confirmed that the state loss of IDR 30 million arose from a project implementation whose handling status had now gone up to investigation.

However, in connection with the project, Tomo admitted that he had not received complete information from investigators. "What is clear is that there are two who have already been investigated, so one of them is", he said.

Furthermore, to trace the state's losses from the three other projects, Tomo said that his party is still waiting for the results of the West Nusa Tenggara Inspectorate audit. Coordination regarding the need for audits is still being improved.

The four cases of alleged corruption that emerged during the project work at the North Lombok Regional Hospital in 2019 were the addition of an operation room and an ICU, an additional emergency room, construction of a pharmacy building, and additional inpatient buildings for classes I, II, and III.

Three of the four projects, namely the addition of an operating room and ICU, construction of a pharmacy building, and addition of an inpatient building for classes I, II, and III, were carried out by PT Apro Megatama which is domiciled in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, the PT Batara Guru Group from Samarinda, East Kalimantan is working on the project to increase the emergency room.

Two of the four cases of suspected corruption that emerged during project work at the North Lombok Regional Hospital have already entered the investigation stage. Both are projects to increase the operation room and ICU, as well as projects to add to the emergency room.

For the additional operation room and ICU project, PT Apro Megatama is working on a contract value of IDR 6.4 billion. Allegations of corruption arose because the work was delayed and resulted in fines.

Then the PT Batara Guru Group worked on the project to add more emergency rooms. The project was carried out with a value of IDR 5.1 billion. The suspicion arose after the government terminated the project contract in the middle of the progress of the project.
